Hi, I'm Shital, a teacher turned founder who built the kind of activity books I couldn't find for my own kids. No flashcards. No quick filler. Just sixteen hand-designed pages per book, made the way I'd want my own children to learn.
See the booksSo I made them. The activity books on the shelves all felt the same: clip-art clowns, three boxed activities, "color the circle red" on the back. I took one look and thought, my kids deserve better than this.
"I didn't set out to start a publishing company. I just couldn't find anything I'd actually want to hand my own kids."
Twenty years in primary classrooms had given me a sharp eye for what actually keeps a child engaged on a page. I sketched the activities, worked with a designer to shape them into a book, and tested every single page with kids in my own classroom. The ones that didn't keep them turning, I threw out.
Three years and four books later, MeMa Creatives is what came out the other end. Books built by someone who actually believes in the work, and tested by the kids they're for.
Every book takes 3–4 months from sketch to print. Here's why.
We pick a developmental skill (e.g. spatial reasoning) and break it into 16 progressive steps with educators.
Each step gets a paper prototype. We sketch dozens of activities and pick the ones that hold attention.
Real kids in real classrooms try every page. If they get bored or stuck, the page goes back to the drawing board.
Custom illustration, careful typography, two rounds of print proofs. No clip art. Ever.
Every page is tested with real children. Boredom is a signal. We treat it like one.
Print is doing something for young brains that pixels can't. We're committed to staying on paper, slow, tactile, undistracted.
Good design isn't decoration, it's how a 5-year-old understands a worksheet without an adult explaining it. Every spread is laid out with that in mind.
We're not a content factory. We make fewer books, more carefully, by people who can name every kid who tested them.
Start with the bundle. Or come to a workshop. Or just say hi.
